John Dolan
Dr John Dolan has published over 100 scientific articles with emphasis on method development techniques, gradient elution, and column selectivity. He is the author (with Lloyd Snyder) of three books, Troubleshooting LC Systems, High-Performance Gradient Elution, and the 3rd edition of Introduction to Modern Liquid Chromatography (also with Jack Kirkland) – often referred to as the Bible of HPLC.
Tom Jupille
Tom Jupille has been a practicing chromatographer for more than 30 years, during which he has written more than 30 papers on chromatography and related subjects. He worked primarily in gas chromatography in the late '60s, switching to thin-layer chromatography in the early '70s and then to HPLC and ion chromatography in late '70s. His career has focused on instrument and column development and user support, providing a broad foundation of practical experience to call on as an instructor.
Frederick Klink
Fred Klink is a trainer and consultant to the pharmaceutical, biotech, and chemical industries as well as law enforcement and other government laboratories. Fred’s specialty is HPLC, LC/MS, and solidphase extraction technologies. Fred received a degree in biochemistry from Northwestern University and completed graduate studies and an internship in forensic chemistry at the University of Illinois. After graduation, Fred entered the analytical instruments industry where he spent seventeen years in varying positions from applications chemist, development project manager, and manager for strategic planning. Fred has been teaching highly regarded MS and LC/MS courses and providing consulting services since 1996. Fred is the author of several journal articles and book chapters including the LC/MS entry in the Wiley Encyclopedia of Analytical Chemistry. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and American Society for Mass Spectrometry.
David O. Sparkman
O. David Sparkman is currently an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California; Consultant to the National Institute of Standards and Technology Mass Spectrometry Data Center; President of ChemUserWorld.com; and a former American Chemical Society Instructor and American Society for Mass Spectrometry Member-at-large for Education. At the University of the Pacific he teaches courses in mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry and manages the mass spectrometry facility. Over the past 28 years, he has developed and taught five different ACS courses in mass spectrometry. He is the author of Mass Spectrometry Desk Reference. 1st and 2nd editions; Introduction to Mass Spectrometry, 4th ed. with J. Throck Watson and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry: A Practical Guide, 2nd ed. with Zelda Penton. He also provides general consulting services in mass spectrometry for a number of instrument manufacturers, manufacturing companies, and government agencies.
Matthew Klee
Dr Matthew S. Klee is internationally recognized for contributions to the theory and practice of gas chromatography. His experience in chemical, pharmaceutical and instrument companies spans over 30 years. During this time, Dr Klee’s work has focused on elucidation and practical demonstration of the many processes involved with GC analysis, with the ultimate goal of improving the ease of use of GC systems, ruggedness of methods and overall quality of results.
Diane Turner
Diane Turner graduated from the University of Warwick with an MSc in analytical chemistry, developing a technique in Gas Chromatography during her research project. Diane started her career as an Analytical Chemist, and later Applications Chemist, with the focus on gas chromatography. In these roles she gained much experience in the interface between manufacturers and end users of scientific instrumentation, allowing her to use this expertise when setting up her business.
She founded Anthias Consulting in 2005 to share her expertise and knowledge of GC & GC-MS. Diane works both directly with manufacturers and their customers, developing applications and demonstrating instruments, as well as focusing on end-users themselves to fulfill their training, method development and troubleshooting needs. She now focuses on GC, GCxGC, GC-MS and all related techniques with training and consultancy.
